八萬年的錯過

去年十月中旬紫金山彗星光顧地球，為了目睹八萬年一遇的它，我遵循天文台的建議，十五號下班後就蹲守西邊的天空，然而直到過了最佳觀賞時間，都沒有找到那條劃破長空的尾巴。回看那天相機相冊時，一張30秒曝光的天空中一個小小的星軌正在冒充紫金山-阿特拉斯，面對這顆假彗星，我會心一笑。

In mid-October last year, the Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS visited Earth. Eager to witness this once-in-80,000 years event, I followed the HKO's advice and focused my gaze at the western sky after work on 15th Oct. However, until the best viewing time passed, I couldn't spot that tail streaking across the sky. Looking back at my photos from that day, I found a 30-second exposure showing a tiny star trail pretending to be the comet. This is still a pretty amusing memento, if I do say so myself.
